Infertility is the curse which is like the worst disease anyone could have. Imagine hearing this from your doctor that you can never have a child! Your world will be shaken to the core. Women are not the ones to have infertility issues, it can be in either men or women. The reproductive organs are not always welcoming for hosting the baby. This has always been the root of many problems in our society. Women are taken for granted for not giving a child, regardless of the need to go for checkup and clear the air about if it’s actually the woman who is infertile?! A lot of happy couples experience the worst of their relationship when they come to know about their infertility and many lives got ruined because of it.
Types of infertility may differ according to couples. There are also some cases which declare unexplained infertility because the diagnosis does not show any problem. In some cases, it’s the woman who has the problem getting pregnant, and in some cases it’s the man. Test for both also differ, because obviously the organs and the functioning is different of both sex. In about more than half of the cases, the problem is either with ovulation, blockage of tubes, or it’s with the sperm.
But today’s world has been so advanced that it has eliminated such issues from our society. Although a lot of people still are not advanced enough to find themselves a cure or an alternative to this happiness. For their better knowledge, let’s discuss some treatments that are invented to get rid of that clutter of infertility.
Treatment No. 1
Medical Assistance through Medicines/Antibiotics
Medicines are the cure of every disease now days, whether it is big or small. And if it is the problem with hormones or organ infections, then infertility can be treated with antibiotics in men and women.
Treatment No. 2
Medical Assistance through Surgery
Surgery is an option when medicines stop working, because the issue could be more than just infection. If the issue is blockage of tubes that does not let the sperms to get in, surgery is done to remove that blockage and to open those blocked fallopian tubes.
Treatment No. 3
Medical Assistance through IUI (Intrauterine Insemination)
If the couple still have problems conceiving, so in this method, the sperm of the partner is inseminated directly into the uterus of the woman with the help of surgical procedures, while the woman is ovulating.
Treatment No. 4
Medical Assistance through IVF (In Vitro Fertilization), GIFT (Gamete Intra Fallopian Transfer) and ZIFT (Zygote Intra Fallopian Transfer)
These three procedures have something in common and that is insemination of the egg and sperm both. If we talk about IVF (In Vitro Fertilization), the sperm and egg are given a desirable condition to become an embryo and then it is placed in the uterus of the woman. In GIFT (Gamete Intra Fallopian Transfer), the sperm and egg are inseminated into the tube of the woman. And in ZIFT (Zygote Intra Fallopian Transfer), the same process goes just like the IVF but the difference is, within 24 hours the fertilized sperm and eggs is inserted into the tube, not the embryo.
